The summer of 2017 marked the sixth year of a study-abroad program in Cape Town, South Africa, sponsored by the Krieger School’s Public Health Studies Program. In addition to classroom study at the University of Cape Town, students work closely with nonprofit organizations in South Africa to address issues of health care delivery, research, and health promotion in an under-resourced environment. During the trip several students (pictured) took advantage of South Africa’s stunning views by climbing Lion’s Head Mountain.
