Outdoor painting was the order of business during the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Homewood Art Workshops, now known as the Center for Visual Arts. During the “Plein Air Paint Out,” close to 50 artists, including undergraduates and alumni, re-created moments in time in and around campus including at the Wyman Park Dell, the Beach, the Keyser Quad, and the Bufano Sculpture Garden. Here, artist Joanne Bare captures the reflecting pool in the Decker Gardens. The completed works were auctioned off at a cocktail reception at the end of the day, with 30 percent of the proceeds benefiting the center.
