Over winter intersession, 14 Krieger School undergraduate students reconstructed ancient earth history, ancient life forms, and the oceans they lived in by mapping clues left behind in the rock record just outside Death Valley National Park in California. The research was part of an Immersive Field Experience course offered by Emmy Smith, associate professor in the Morton K. Blaustein Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences.
